Role


The Day-To-Day Activities
DSCVM - Data Engineering Trainee
The role will involve developing and managing data ingestion processes, including Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) operations, to ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and scalability.
1. Build and maintain data pipelines to ensure seamless data flow from various sources to the storage systems
2. Manage and optimize databases to support data storage and retrieval. This involves ensuring data integrity and performance.
3. Provide technical support to data scientists and analysts by preparing and optimizing data sets for analysis.
4. Implementation of strict data policies and oversight mechanisms to ensure data security, compliance, and quality especially for PII information. Always comply to PDPA.
5. Work with different teams to understand data needs and contribute to the development of data solutions.
6. Manage the lifecycle of data in a big data platform, archiving and purging data according to defined policies
7. Documented and updated the DE team's data glossary and catalogue.

About You
1. Degree in Computer Science / IT / Electrical & Electronic / Telecommunication / Mathematics / Economics / Physics or equivalent.
2. Basic understanding of data processing and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) operations.
3. Experience in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
4. Familiarity with database technologies like SQL, NoSQL, and data warehousing solutions.
5. Exposure to big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
6. Knowledge of data modeling and the ability to design data schemas.
7. Understands and executes predefined campaign strategies within the Campaign Management System
8. Able to analyze & troubleshoot data issues and optimize data flows.
9. Ability to work with data scientists and analysts to support data needs.
10. Must possess team spirit, positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, communication and initiative to learn.
11. Minimum CGPA : 3.2
