Job Summary
To provide legal and contract management support to the business units and to ensure that all assigned matters are taken, executed and implemented in line with the business requirements, processes and policies. To further ensure that exposure to risk is minimized and mitigated appropriately.

The Day-To-Day Activities

  • To draft and review contracts in co-ordination with cross-functional teams to meet requirements and ensure compliance with the Company's policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • To apply judgment in balancing commercial / legal considerations against the requirements of the business, and to secure required benefits and entitlements in contracts in conformity with the requirements of the business units.
  • To assume an active and substantially independent role in handling complex and strategic contracts requiring in-depth discussion and negotiation.
  • Identify potential risks, propose and negotiate amendments to minimize or mitigate risks and to secure maximum benefit and entitlements in contracts and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Attend to post contract issues and queries and provide solutions to relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor and manage expiration of contracts and attend to timely renewals. Ensure up-to-date reporting, safe keeping and good management of contracts.
  • Attend to any other legal and contact management related matters assigned from time to time.

About You

  • LL.B from a recognized university with a min of 9 years working experience as an in-house legal counsel.
  • Contract drafting and negotiations with a focus on technology or telecommunications-related contracts is an added advantage.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, strong communication, collaboration and possess problem-solving skills.
