The Day-to-Day Activities
- Deliver the department’s KPIs and directly contribute to the achievement of the Information Services Division’s strategic targets through expert-level cloud architecture leadership.
- Define and maintain the enterprise Cloud Architecture Vision and Strategy, mapping the evolution from current-state architecture to target-state architecture that supports scalability, security, and innovation.
- Establish and enforce cloud-focused IT Architecture Governance frameworks, policies, and compliance processes to ensure adherence across all cloud and hybrid initiatives.
- Lead the definition and execution of the organization’s Cloud Strategy, including legacy system modernization, application re-platforming, and adoption of cloud-native patterns.
- Develop authoritative cloud architecture references — including cloud platform blueprints, multi-cloud integration patterns, policies, and operational standards — to guide enterprise-wide adoption.
- Review, assess, and approve cloud platform and cloud-native application designs from internal stakeholders and vendors, ensuring alignment with architectural principles, security standards, and cost optimization goals.
- Architect and optimize API platforms and integration frameworks, including catalogue management, publishing workflows, access control, observability, and cloud-native API gateway configurations.
- Provide expert cloud architecture solutions to stakeholders, serving as the trusted advisor on scalability, resilience, performance tuning, and security best practices.
- Perform architecture governance and technical assurance for all cloud-related change initiatives, identifying risks, gaps, and opportunities for improvement before implementation.
- Champion modern cloud architecture practices, including security-by-design, automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), microservices, container orchestration, and DevSecOps adoption to drive operational excellence.
