Job Summary
The Technical Senior Manager is responsible for leading and managing the daily operations and support of Telco Business Support Systems (BSS), ensuring system stability, operational efficiency, and service reliability. The role supports strategic initiatives, drives continuous improvement, and ensures IT services align with business objectives and customer expectations.
The Day-to-Day Activities
Lead and manage the IT operations and support team, including coaching, performance management, and staff development.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Head of Department.
Oversee daily operations of IT infrastructure, applications, and BSS platforms to ensure high system availability and performance.
Manage incidents, problem resolution, and root cause analysis to minimise service disruption.
Monitor system performance and prepare operational and KPI reports for management review.
Ensure compliance with security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Oversee routine system maintenance activities including upgrades, patching, and backups.
Manage vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure quality service delivery.
Support budget planning, resource allocation, and cost optimisation initiatives.
Lead and coordinate IT projects to ensure timely and successful delivery.
Drive process improvements, operational efficiency, and adoption of new technologies and best practices.
Develop and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, business users, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
