Job Summary
Responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, and performance of IP network and NFV infrastructure, including Core, ISP, GRX, and Data Centre connectivity. Provides operational support, incident resolution, and lifecycle management across network, security, and virtualized environments while driving service reliability, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
The Day-To-Day Activities
- Manage and monitor IP network infrastructure including Core, ISP, GRX and Data Centre connectivity.
- Ensure stability and availability of NFV infrastructure, including VNFs and virtualization platforms.
- Provide operational support and fault resolution for IP network infrastructure, network security platforms and NFV infrastructure.
- Coordinate incidents, problem and change management activities with NOC and relevant stakeholders.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures to avoid recurring incidents.
- Coordinate with internal teams and vendors for issue resolution and system maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies, operational standards and audit requirements.
- Support network upgrades, capacity expansion, system integration and service rollout activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through automation, process enhancement and operational best practices.
- Provide coaching and technical guidance to engineers within the operations team.
