Job Summary
The Specialist / Engineer is responsible for providing Level 2 operational support for Core Network, Roaming Services, and VAS platforms, with a primary focus on international roaming services. This role is responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and service quality of roaming services, including roaming steering, inter-operator connectivity, roaming-related signaling operations, and mobile security management.
The Day-to-Day Activities
Monitor and ensure the availability and performance of international roaming services across 2G, 3G, LTE, VoLTE, and 5G networks.
Perform Level 2 troubleshooting for roaming-related issues, including attach failures, voice, SMS, and data service issues.
Analyze signaling traces (e.g., MAP, CAP, Diameter) to identify root causes and support issue resolution.
Support roaming partner onboarding, testing, and certification activities, including IREG and TADIG processes.
Manage and optimize roaming steering configurations and policies.
Coordinate with roaming partners, vendors, internal engineering teams, and marketing teams to support service rollouts and cross-functional initiatives.
Monitor, detect, and mitigate spam, fraud, and suspicious traffic through mobile security and firewall management platforms.
Continuously enhance mobile security firewall rules, detection capabilities, and operational effectiveness.
Support operational improvement initiatives to enhance service reliability and customer experience.
